Email: tims@heartlandk10.com
Tim
is one of the 2 founding pastors of h.k10 along with Kevin. Having already
been a staff member at a successful church plant (Lakeland Community
Church/1996), Tim now leads several key divisions including, Programming,
Community and Ministry Connections. He is also the primary worship leader

Soul, which was signed to Ardent/Forefront records and toured nationally,
releasing 3 records nationally and recording 8 top ten songs. Now his
passion is for the church and for learning, as he is a little over 1/3
of the way through an MDiv at Nazarene Theological Seminary. When asked
about his philosophy of ministry Tim replied, "I really hope that
I can help h.k10 become a place where people begin to see themselves
in the story of God. I believe that God is making all things new and
my hope is to help lead our church in the discussion of what it means
to participate in the Kingdom of God." Tim has a BS in Life Science

Kerrie Thomsen
Children's Ministry Director
Started on staff — April of 2006
Email: jtktandthepak@kc.rr.com
Kerrie is the Director of the Children's Ministry Division at h.k10
where she leads a team of outstanding volunteer leaders who do ministry
with kids. When asked about her philosophy of ministry Kerrie said "I
love kids and think that they are the future of our church. If you can
teach a child about Christ at a young age, Jesus will be in their heart
no matter what life throws at them, or where they go. You should never
bore a child with God, God is cool and FUN! Parents should be the spiritual
leaders of their children, so the church should come along side and
partner with parents in teaching kids about Jesus." Kerrie attended
Bradley University in Peoria Illinois where she met her husband Jeff.
They live just off of K-10 highway in Lenexa and have three children
Kadi, Parker and Alaina, and a dog named Bailey. Kerrie grew up going
to the Catholic Church, but comes to us directly from Heartland Community
Church in Overland Park where she was on staff for 10 years as a children's
minister. She loves traveling "anywhere, anytime!" and her
kids are her favorite pastime.
Kerrie loves to read and learn and some of her favorite internet links are travel sites, "Since I like to travel pathetically, I am on Hilton, RCI and Southwest Airlines almost everyday!"
Seth Davidson
Pastor of the Lawrence Church Plant
Started on staff: January 2005
Seth’s role when he came on staff was to be the Lawrence Campus pastor. Since then, God has been working and growing the Lawrence campus into a ministry that clearly needs to stand on its own two legs. Seth is leading a new phase in Lawrence during which they will become their own autonomous church over the next few years. When asked about his philosophy of ministry, Seth says “The Great Commandment and the Great Commission fuel my passion for ministry. I love the Acts 2 Church, and I believe that Jesus is encountered in life-changing community. I am very relational by nature, and believe that ministry is all about relationships. I’m excited about creating a Church in Lawrence that truly taps into Lawrence culture, engages the community where we live, and reaches people who are far from Jesus and bring them into a hopeful and vibrant community of faith.” Seth has a BA in English Literature from Kansas State University, Certificate of Advanced Ministry Training from the MAP Program, and is a Licensed Minister through the Evangelical Church Alliance. He’s married to Holly and they make their home in Lawrence. No kids yet unless you count their puppy named Jack. Seth grew up going to church and got connected with Heartland Community Church as an intern in college. He served as youth and college pastor at Shoal Creek Community Church in Liberty, MO for 5 years before joining the h.k10 staff. His hobbies are reading, frisbee, or just about anything with People.

Started on staff January 2006.
Email: kristend@heartlandk10.com
Kristen’s role as Administrative Assistant/Office Manager involves an incredible amount of flexibility and patience. She has a hand in much of what goes on behind the scenes at our church - things like phones, mail, email, announcements, bookkeeping and scheduling, printing, marketing, planning etc. In addition, Kristen works closely with Kevin, Tim and Ben in getting things ready for Sundays, helping them with task focused in order to free them up to focus on ministry. When asked about her philosophy of ministry, Kristen said “Having this opportunity has been a great blessing. It allows me to utilize my strengths in a way that can benefit the h.k10 ministry and it’s really fun to be involved in something important.” Kristen grew up in Kansas City and attended College Church of the Nazarene “until I went to college and took a walk down a different path! Fortunately, God didn’t give up on me and guided me to hk.10. ADVISORY TEAM
Even though we're such a young church, we've always felt the need to involve several of our experienced and mature leaders in our processes of decision making. The advisory team serves to help guide staff as they seek to lead the church. They are a sounding board for any major decisions and they have oversight/approval on budget matters. They provide accountability in matters of theology and practice. Advisory team deals with relational and leadership problems and concerns as they arise in our fellowship and work to resolve any issues of conflict and needs for pastoral care. They seek to guard and support the vision of our church and to support and reinforce the staff. Members are selected for their spiritual, personal and relational maturity as well as specific skills which they might bring to the team. Members of our current advisory team are:
- Jodi Bertram
- Kevin Cloud
- Bill Hill
